Docents at Farmstead Arts are needed for gallery hours during art shows, Saturdays and Sundays 1 - 4 PM, and for concerts in the house and the barn.  Normally, two docents are needed for each time slot, although for large events, such as concerts and gallery opening receptions, more may be needed.  Volunteer as much or little as you like.  Docents greet the public and must be friendly and helpful.  They are also  responsible for security in the gallery space, volunteer information about changing exhibits, and  handle purchases of artwork in the gallery. Docents are supervised by the Volunteer Coordinator and will be given necessary training in sales procedures and orientation for each exhibition.
