Ernest J. Reisinger, 95, Retired Building Engineer

Ernest J. Reisinger, a 60-year resident of Basking Ridge, died on Feb. 21 at Fellowship Village. He was 95. Born in Pittsburgh, PA, Reisinger lived most of his life in Basking Ridge. He graduated from The Newark College of Engineering and was a licensed professional engineer. Over the years he had owned two businesses, Reisinger Construction Company and DeCristofer Construction Company. Reisinger was a member of the Professional Engineers of New Jersey and the Somerville/Bound Brook Contractors Association. He was also a parishioner of St. James Church and a member of the Holy Name Society in Basking Ridge. Reisinger donated his time and expertise to the construction of the new St. James Church building as the church's engineering consultant. He was also past president of the Bernards Township Kiwanis Club, chairman of Bernards Township Board of Adjustment and member of the Bernards Township Planning Board and School Board. Visitation will be held on Feb. 26 from 6pm-7pm in the narthex of St. James Church in Basking Ridge, followed by a Funeral Liturgy at 7pm in the church.
