Fellowship Village Invites Public for a Day of Fun

The public is invited to celebrate family ties at the Fellowship Village Family Fun Day on Saturday, Sept. 11, from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.  The senior living community has hosted the annual event for several years, offering an opportunity for residents and guests to mingle in a fun and informal setting.

Visitors can enjoy fun food, while tapping their feet to the bluegrass sounds of The Long Hill String Band. The petting zoo, pony rides, and the inflatable Giant Slide are back by popular demand. Children of all ages will enjoy the train ride around the Village Green.  Shoppers can visit the Village Store, or purchase homemade baked goods and crafts from residents.

Caricatures, face painting, balloon animals, air brushed tattoos, photo favors, Asian name painting, and games are also planned. Musically inclined guests can choose their favorite recording to sing at Karaoke Hour, and be entered in a drawing to win a gift card.

"Family Fun Day offers us a chance to share a day of joy with friends, families, and the broader community" said Fellowship Village president and CEO Brian Lawrence. "This year our celebration of family ties is particularly poignant, as we remember the families who lost loved ones on September 11, 2001.  We are reminded to cherish those who are dear to us, each and every day."

Fellowship Village is a full-service senior living community at 8000 Fellowship Road in Basking Ridge. Admission to Family Fun Day is free, and there is no charge for the refreshments, amusements, and games.  Visitors are invited to tour the community, and share a day of fun and fellowship with residents.  For more information, call 908-580-3800.
