Warren, NJ; November 13, 2012 ---- LearningRx Warren is excited to announce that it is collaborating with The Somerset County Food Bank to collect donations of much needed food items for families in our local communities as the holidays draw near. The LearningRx Brain Training Center is located at 34 Mountain Boulevard, Bldg. C (1^st floor – across from the lobby of the Fulton Bank) in Warren.  For directions to the center or inquiries about the food drive, please contact Raquel Ledesma at 908-22-BRAIN (908-222-7246).  A drop- off bin will be located in the lobby of the Center

To thank community members for their support, LearningRx Warren will provide anyone who donates an item at the Center with a free copy of the book, “Unlock the Einstein Inside:  Applying New Brain Science to Wake Up the Smart in Your Child” by Dr. Ken Gibson, valued at $19.95.

“The unprecedented combination of Hurricane Sandy and the nor’easter has left food bank supplies even more depleted than before. Also, with Thanksgiving approaching, the aftermath of the two storms will make it more difficult for more families to afford a holiday meal.” -Somerset County Freeholder Director Patricia Walsh

Any donations would be appreciated, however, the County suggests some of the most needed items include:

• Shelf-stable milk
• Canned Meats (Spam, Corned Beef, Stew
• Canned Fruit
• Peanut butter 
• Jelly
• Low-salt soups
• Cereal
• Rice 
• Beans
• Gift cards and toiletries are also welcome
