Looking like his experience had worn him out, Gavin Patrick Fahy, 20 months, of New Providence, decided to lay down in one of the pumpkin patches at Wightman's Farm in Harding Township.

Just a few minutes south of Morristown—and north of the Basking Ridge border—on Route 202 is Wightman's Farm, known each fall for the pumpkins, apples, hayrides and pumpkin sling shots.

The farm, owned and operated by the Wightman family since 1922, draws thousands each September and October to enjoy the farm experience.

Fresh apple cider donuts, roasted corn and pickles-on-a-stick are just some of the smells and tastes of the farm. Weekend hayrides lasting approximately 20 minutes circle the farm's orchards and growing areas.

Wightman's Farm, located at 1111 Mt. Kemble Ave., Morristown, is open daily from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
