Basking Ridge Parents Organizing Winter 'Fun Night'

All in community are invited to Basking Ridge Family Fun Night, set for Jan. 27 at Branchburg Sports Complex.

Two Basking Ridge parents have organized "Basking Ridge Family Fun Night" as one way of beating the winter blues and cabin fever. The entire community is invited to the event, scheduled for 6 to 9 p.m. on Jan. 27 at the Branchburg Sports Complex.

"We are hoping to get the families from all over Basking Ridge together for a night out with friends, family and fun," said Elaine DiDario, who with Susan Ursino is co-chairing the event. The cost for an individual is $25, with $75 for a family four pack for the evening at the complex, located at 47 Readington Road, Branchburg.

"Winter is such a tough time to get out and get active expecially for our kids and even talking quickly with neighbors is less likey when it is cold outside," DiDario said. "The Basking Ridge Family Fun Night is an opportunity for adults to get to know other families in our community as a whole."

She said this is the first time the parents are organizing the event, which they would like to hold annually.

Admission allows both adults and children to participate in two games of Laser Tag, a variety of field games, obstacle course bounce houses, and also receive a $10 fun card for arcade games.

Dinner, which includes a slice of pizza, bag of chips and a drink, can be added for an additional fee of $4.50 per person.

The deadline for ordering tickets is Jan. 13, Online information and a registration form is at https://sites.google.com/site/brfamilyfunnight.

Those interested also contact Elaine DiDario at didario@optonline.net.

The two parents are involved with the Mount Prospect Elementary School Parent Teacher Organization, but DiDario emphasized that Family Fun Night is for the entire community. Payment is to the MP PTO, according to the registration form.
