Bernards Teams Crowned Youth Hockey Champs

Three of Basking Ridge's finest youth hockey teams competed at Twin Oaks Ice Rink this past weekend, claiming championships in the Mite, Squirts and Pee Wee ice hockey divisions.

The Ridge Youth Hockey Club Mite hockey team defeated league rival Kinnelon on Saturday, June 19 with a shut-out score of 4-0 in the Twin Oaks Ice Rink Spring 2010 Mite Championship . The Ridge Mite team ended their season with a terrific 10-2 record on their way to winning the championship.

The Ridge Youth Hockey Club Squirt hockey team defeated the Kinnelon Squirts 5-2 in playoff semi-final action and then went on to defeat the Yeti hockey team also on Saturday, June 19 by a score of 12-4 in the Twin Oaks Ice Rink Spring 2010 Squirt Championship . The Ridge Squirt team ended their season with an impressive 9-2-1 record on their way to winning the spring title.

The Ridge Youth Hockey Club Pee Wee hockey team beat The Jersey Wolves on Saturday, June 19th by a score of 6-2 in the Twin Oaks Ice Rink Spring 2010 Pee Wee Championship. En route to the championship, the Ridge Pee Wee team compiled a 7-4-1 record and also beat a highly rated Kinnelon Pee Wee team in the playoff semi-finals.
