Car Fire at Exit 36 on Interstate 78 is Cleared

State police say no injuries.

 

State Police in Somerville said that a car fire that began late this morning on Interstate 78 westbound near exit 36 for Basking Ridge-Warren had been cleared by Monday afternoon.

No injuries took place during the mishap, which began about 10:30 a.m., said a state police spokeswoman.

The spokeswoman could not say exactly when the damaged car was removed from the highway, but said it already was gone before early afternoon.
