Easter Services in Basking Ridge

Township churches hold services Saturday and Sunday

 

The following is a list of Easter Vigil and Easter services planned in Bernards Township.

Bishop Janes United Methodist Church
22 St. Finley Ave.

Easter — Traditional worship service — 9:30 a.m.

Connection (contemporary service) — 11:30 a.m., with coffee and fellowship at 11 a.m.

Liberty Corner Presbyterian Church
45 Church St., Liberty Corner

Sunrise service — 6 a.m. Wear casual clothing and meet on the lawn

Family service: 9:15 a.m. New this year. For families, interactive half-hour service which retells the story of Easter through songs and skits in center court

Traditional services: 9:15 a.m. and 11 a.m. with music from the brass quintet and hymns in the sanctuary

Contemporary service: 10:30 a.m. with music from the worship band, video and Easter message in center court

Childcare: 9 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.

Easter brunch: 6:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., complementary breakfast in Douglas Hall.

The Presbyterian Church of Basking Ridge
1 East Oak St.

Easter —  8:30 a.m. and 10 a.m in the sanctuary. Sermon: "An Invitation to Become Whole," John 20:1-10. Rev. Dennis Jones preaching. Sanctuary and youth choirs, organ, brass and bells

St. James Roman Catholic Church
184 S. Finley Ave., Basking Ridge

Easter Vigil 7:30 p.m. in church 

Easter Sunday

Masses — 9 a.m., 10:30 am. and noon in the church; and 9 a.m., 10:30 a.m. and noon in the chapel.

St. Mark's Episcopal Church
140 S. Finley Ave., Basking Ridge

Easter Vigil — The service starts in darkness and candlelight, and which ends the the brightness of Easter. Service at 8 p.m. in the church.

Easter: The celebration of the Resurrection — 8 a.m. and 10 a.m., with Easter Egg hunt following the 10 a.m. service.
