It seems like just yesterday that I sat in Café Lotus coffee shop in downtown Basking Ridge on a conference call with Patch headquarters as our site's engineers launched Basking Ridge Patch into the world wide web for the first time.
Sadly, just short of nine months later, I am moving on, but Basking Ridge Patch remains alive and thriving, ready to continue under the direction of Patch's strong editorial team.
As many of you know from an announcement posted right here on Patch, I am getting married this Sunday to my beautiful fiancé, Danielle Acker, who will be attending the University of Pennsylvania Law School in the fall.
Together we will be moving to Philadelphia, where I will help launch the first wave of Patch towns in that region as the local editor for Lower Merion Township.
It has been nothing short of an absolute pleasure writing and reporting on Bernards Township these past several months. I am proud that I will always be your launch editor.
Basking Ridge has become a second home to me. I have met so many incredible people, and have been warmed by your open and inviting community atmosphere. You have so much to be proud of, from the achievements of your youth to the active community efforts of your seniors.
Basking Ridge is truly a wonderful place, and I will miss it.
While I hope many of you have come to find this site as a top source of news and information about your community, I can assure you that the high standards we set on reporting, editing and writing will be continued.
Patch editor Jason Koestenblatt will capably serve as your local editor in the interim of my departure. Jason is a veteran journalist with the drive and energy to serve you well. Our dedicated team of contributors will also continue to provide you with the information you seek.
Until we meet again, farewell Bernards Township, and thank you for your support.
Your editor,
Nathan Susanj
