The weather has started to cool down, and that means fall sports are about to start for the Ridge High School athletic teams. We're taking a look at each of the varsity teams as they get ready for competition. Today, we look at the Red Devils boys soccer team.

OVERVIEW

The Red Devils come into this season with a more experienced team according to Ridge head coach Ken Cherry. The 2010 campaign included many players who lacked significant playing time at the varsity level impacting the team's results.

LAST SEASON'S RESULTS

Last year, the Ridge Red Devils were 8-10-1 with only one loss by more than one goal. The team was 3rd in the conference and made it to the county quarterfinals. The Devils did not qualify for the Group 4 State Tournament.

THEY'LL MISS

- Chris Whelan, Midfielder - Chris is playing defense at Kenyon College, Ohio.

- Brian Vassalo reportedly is playing soccer, and Chris Renna is playing division 1 soccer at Loyola University, Maryland, according to Anna Renna.
