The Plays in the Park, produced through the combined effort of the Basking Ridge-based Trilogy Repertory Company and the Bernards Township Parks and Recreation Department, staged "A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum" for two weeks in July.

The play will continue Friday and Saturday night, with shows at 8 p.m. at Pleasant Valley Park, off Valley Road.

The free series is in its 25th year, said Jennifer Gander, director of parks and recreation in Bernards Township.

She said that attendance can range from 500 to 1,000 per performance, depending on the production.

The second production this summer is "Inherit the Wind," scheduled for July 27 and 28 and Aug. 2, 3 and 4, also at 8 p.m. at the outdoor amphitheater at Pleasant Valley Park.
