IN SHORT
The Ridge girls Devils struggled against the size and potent offense of Hunterdon Central, although the team came close to matching the scoring in the fourth quarter. Despite a 20-point loss, Ridge coach Cheryl Steppenbeck felt there were a lot of positives in her team's performance.
“This was much improved from the first time we played them," the coach said. In a previous game on Jan. 10, the Central girls won 57-29.
"They are a good team; they outsize us incredibly,” Steppenbeck said.
