Nominate the Best Art Venue/Gallery
Let us know the best place to go to enjoy the arts on display in Basking Ridge and nearby, so we can put it to a vote and find out which is the Readers’ Choice 2012 winner.
What's the best gallery or art venue to visit in the Basking Ridge area when you want to enjoy/learn about the arts?
Patch is relaunching its Readers’ Choice program and we’re asking you, your friends, family, neighbors, coworkers and anyone else who enjoys (or produces) arts and crafts to nominate the best places to hook into what's happening in the arts in Basking Ridge and nearby.
Along with the township's Farmstead Arts center, there are also many galleries in the Somerset Hills. Or do you especially enjoy visiting periodic special exhibits at places like the Somerset County Environmental Education Center?
Let us know what you like, and also tell us why in the comments section below.
We’ll keep accepting nominations through July 9. After that, nominations will be closed and we’ll start the voting, so make sure to get in your favorites now.
All you need to do to nominate a business is to add it in the comments below. If you already see the business you want to nominate, make sure to add your comment about why it should be included, because we may not be able to add all businesses and we want to make sure the top ones make it into the poll.
Thanks in advance for your participation.

Hands down it's The Center for Contemporary Art with exhibitions of members and students and exhibitions of cutting edge art being made today. Plus they offer so many classes and workshops for kids and adults at any level and summer camp. And they throw a great party!

Farmstead Arts is a wonderful addition to the community and will be even better once the historic barn is restored this year. It's great to visit all the galleries in Bernardsville and Bedminster and to see the interest in the arts grow in our area, but my favorite is Farmstead Arts which is not only a beautiful setting as a center for the arts, but an important part of our town's history as well.

FARMSTEAD ARTS is the most amazing art center. The volunteers are dedicated to the mission of bringing art and art awareness into the area.

Cinder LeDell: I vote for Farmstead Arts, which is fresh and new and its volunteers are full of ideas. I exhibited there the month of April 2011 and also taught an art class. I have been to many of their other exhibits, and exhibited in four other events there. It's important for an artist to be able to exhibit for a month at an interesting and vital venue. I'm hosting a family reunion in August and hope to take everyone there as part of our historical tour. I believe that Farmstead Arts will continue to be important throughout the 21st century.

The Center for Contemporary Art is my favorite. They have multiple galleries that not only show the work of up and coming artists from outside the local community but they showcase the vibrant talent of local artists also. The welcoming atmosphere of this Art Center makes anyone feel comfortable learning more about the art world.

I have been following this piece and see a pattern developing... I love both the Center for Contemporary Art and Farmstead Arts. The difference being that CCA has been in operation longer and has exceptional classes and exhibit space. Farmstead Arts has a dual purpose of both history and the fine and performing arts. They have only been open for over a year and are new in Bernards Township. Even if you choose CCA please come visit us at Farmstead Arts and see the beautiful barn and the 17th century farmhouse, it is worth the trip! http://www.farmsteadartscenter.org
