Obama Political Signs Stolen, Then Ripped Up

Bernards Township police said signs supporting the incumbent president were removed twice from local lawn.

An opponent of U.S. President Barack Obama chose more than the ballot box to express displeasure — someone apparently twice took signs in favor of the incumbent presidential candidate from the lawn of a South Maple Avenue home, according to Bernards Township police.

Police said they initially received a report that the signs had been stolen some time between 7 p.m. Oct. 9 and 8 a.m. Oct. 10.

According to the police report, the signs were replaced — but the homeowner notified police at about 3:30 p.m. on Sunday afternoon that they had been removed from the lawn some time between last Friday and on Sunday.
