Beginning and ending at the Somerset Hills YMCA, a 5K race to raise awareness and support for Community Hope took place along Mt Airy Road Thursday night.

The YMCA sponsored the event led by event co-directors Susan Visser and Sue Diebold.  All procedes and sponsorships will be going to Community Hope, a private non-profit orgainzation, operates transitional housing and rehabilitation programs for homeless veterans in NJ.    

Scores of participants, young and old, fit and not-so-fit, running, walking and some pushing strollers, braved the heat and humidity for a great cause.
