Nothing on Haas Rd and presumably Keats, Thackeray, etc. Duke Energy dropped off a pole. But as of this time, no workers and not on a list. Cars keep speeding down "Haas Highway", which is dangerous and disconcerting.

RoundTop Road in Bernardsville has been without power for eight days, not one JCP&L truck has come up the street, Lines remain down, poles haven't been restored. This is criminal. Can you please, as a public service, poll Patch readers as to whether they want to have JCP&L's franchise removed? Other towns are doing this now and we should be too.

Unfortunately, after this 6prm report, lights again went out on Manchester Drive, Basking Ridge. I heard a large bang. Did another transformer fail? I had electricity restored a few days ago, and the refrigerator is cleaned and restocked. My inconvenience is little compared to so many. I'm not complaining, just reporting.

Lindbergh Lane in Basking Ridge lost power again a little after 8:00 p.m. tonight.

You expect us to believe that power is bring restored to many of the remaining pockets of darkness in Basking Ridge. Then I guess Lord Stirling Village isn't part of Basking Ridge anymore. Tell that to the many senior citizens who live on Village Drive and have been living in complete
darkness for 10 straight nights now with no heat. It's amazing how 150 townhouses can sit in complete darkness and yet we say power is slowly spreading even...common folks you can do better than that or may be you can't since we went 7 days without power during Hurricane Irene what's another 12 or so with Sandy...were use to it...it's the new norm.

No power still on Alder Lane in The Hills. Random 15 or so house still dark up here on Smoke Rise and Huntington. jCPL and the town "thinks" we are all up and running. We are not we have been left in the dark day 11 with no end in site have not heard from one person from our town, JCPL haven't even seen anyone. We have been truly forgotten about up here. Don't forgetbwevarevall underground. So we have no down trees on poles we have no poles up here everything is underground. Yet for a few of us in one section of The Hills in Carslie we have been for gotten about.

Are you ready for this...101.5 FM reported early this morning that JCP&L is now saying that full restoration for those without power due to either storm won't happen until deep into next week..!

Day 12! This is just awful. Did JCPL forget Lord Sterling Village? I get continuous updates on Pseg, but not a word from JCPL. Who holds JCPL accountable for this, again, failure to communicate and restore power in more timely manor?.

DMcG...I wish I was kidding, but I'm not. I've been advocating for us all week, but my efforts are falling on deaf ears. My next move is to email Mayor Pavlini and demand concrete answers and encourage you to do the same. Her email address is mpavlini@bernards.org

There is still a tree down and wires too on the street by Cedar Hill School. I'm out of patience. Township committee please demand JCPL send their crews here already. It is inexcusable that the problems in this school zone have not been addressed. After last year's storm Homestead Village was forgotten as well. Enough is enough. Higher up do something to help!!!!!

The most disturbing part of this is that I am now hearing less from JCP&L than I did a week ago. I asked an operator if their official company position was that they had no specifics to offer those that remain out, she incredibly said, "yes". We're on the border of Bernardsville and Basking Ridge, right off 202, in a neighborhood with 90 homes, and we're all out. No broken poles, no wires down, no access issues. Why can't our utility give us any information at all about what seems like a simple fix? Total incompetence.

He did the photo op with Obama, said he had the bat phone connection and thousands in BR are without power 11 days later? Our kids can't go to school?

I emailed our lovely Mayor of Bernards Township Ms. Mary Pavlini this morning, and she has yet to answer me back.
She prefers to only communicate to the downtrodden via the Bernards Township web-site...unbelievable.

The Sherbrooke Community just off Stonehouse and adjacent to The Summit remains dark on Bernard Drive between Blackburn and Governor Drive -- what the heck is going on?? Day 12! All of our utility wires are underground -- has JCP&L forgotten this section of the community!!

Our neighbors on Valley Rd. & Elizabeth have power but we and two other homes without power due to severed line at a pole. Reported it and crews have inspected a week ago but no work done. How is JCPL handling these one-off situations? I'm sure there are many.

Have some patience, your power will be restored, the power companies make no money if you don't have your lights on. This was a massive storm that tore up the state and you can complain all you want, but the power isn't going to come on any faster, no matter what christi says. No one wants to live w/o power, but someone has to be last. This storm couldn't be stopped, the damage couldn't be stopped, and no matter what people say, this isn't the power company's fault, so suck it up and find something useful to do to keep busy.

During the 52 years I've lived on Keats Road, we've lost power even when the dew point elevates a bit. Clearly, a storm such as Sandy is vastly beyoned JCP&L's ability to handle. JCP&L's mia culpa and promises to take steps to ensure that "it will not happen again" following last year's Irene and Hallowe'en snow storm proved to be as trustworthy as its projections of power restoration this time. The PUC, or some such entity, should take away JCP&L's territory and give it to grown ups to run.
