The Ridge High School new gym was filled to capacity as students wait for their turn to be called for their diploma. The 440 or so students who graduated moved indoors after thunderstorms struck right while the crowd was arriving on Friday night.

School officials said about 440 Ridge graduates were honored at Friday night's ceremony, held indoors in the new gym at Ridge High School.

The seniors-becoming-graduates displayed a variety of emotions at the ceremony — wistfulness, pride, more than a little nervousness and seriousness, and joy — lots of joy.

Many different faces, many similar emotions.

More photos posted soon after graduation ended.

The Project Graduation Bash followed the graduation ceremony on the same night.

Ridge graduates talk about the shared experience and common ground for the Class of 2012, as well as some of the group's unique talents — and moments.
