IN SHORT

Ridge opened up the scoring with goals from captains Tom Carpenter in the first period and Keith Knapp in the second both assisted by Chris Mastroianni.  But Watchung Hills, always tough against Ridge, came back with an unassisted goal by Sean Simons just 45 seconds after Knapp's.  With only 6:47 remaining in the game, Ryan Charko scored an assisted goal to tie the game for the Warriors.

DEVIL OF THE GAME

Chris Mastroianni — Chris had assists on both Ridge goals and was ever active in the offense.

OTHER KEY PERFORMANCES

Robbie Fenton — Fenton had 17 saves on 19 shots in the goal for the Devils.

THEY SAID IT

"It was a good game.  A tie on the road is always good. We had some chances in the 3rd period, but they didn't go in. It is always like this in the Skylands conference games," Ridge coach Tim Mullin, Sr.

THE 2011-12 RED DEVIL HOCKEY TEAM

"This years' squad returns all our starters from 2011 with the loss of 2 defensemen and our goalie," said coach Tim Mullin, Sr.  "We were young last year," Mullin added.

WHO TO LOOK FOR THIS SEASON

Robbie Fenton, junior goalie — "I expect Fenton to step up in the goal and show us what he's got," said Mullin.

THE CAPTAINS

The Red Devils will be led by returning seniors forwards Tommy Carpenter and Keith Knapp, and defenseman, Derek Vogt.

"We are really looking for goalie (Robbie) Fenton to step up this year," said Tommy Carpenter. "There is a lot of scoring coming back and some solid "D" players too," added Keith Knapp. "We are really deep this year with three solid lines," said Derek Vogt.
