Strings in June Features Ridge String Quartet
First joint venture between Farmstead Arts and the Historical Society of the Somerset Hills.
The public is invited to attend Strings in June, a performance of the Ridge String Quartet scheduled for 3 p.m. this Sunday at the Brick Academy at 15 W. Oak Street in downtown Basking Ridge.
The concert, to be presented by student musicians who are attending or will have just graduated Ridge High School, is the first joint venture between the township's Farmstead Arts center and The Historical Society of the Somerset Hills, said Paula Axt, a board member for the historical society.
The Art on the Ridge Art Show will be on display during the performance, which will be followed by refreshments.
The concert is part of the 2012 Summer Student Concert Series.

12 artists will be displaying their work at The Brick Academy (15 W Oak St) for the first ever Farmstead Arts sponsored art walk in downtown Basking Ridge on June 23rd from 11am-3pm. The Brick Academy has allowed the artists to carry over their displays for the music event on Sunday. Participating artists are:
