A tractor-trailer knocked down some utility lines on South Finley Avenue just south of the intersection with Stonehouse Road on Friday evening, requiring a small section of the road to be blocked off in front of the Lyons Mall, police said.

The road, closed earlier in the evening, remained closed at about 7:30 p.m. while police said that a repair crew from Verizon was coming.

Traffic was being diverted into southern end of the Lyons Mall, and was then able to bypass the closed section at the traffic light intersection with Stonehouse Road. Vehicles were able to either cross onto Stonehouse, or continue heading north onto Lyons Road.

Police at the scene said it was not known at that time when the repair crew would arrive.

No one was reported injured as a result of the mishap.
