With Labor Day on the horizon, the Somerset Hills YMCA will offer "Come Play at the Y," starting on the Labor Day weekend, Sunday, Sept. 2, through Saturday, Sept. 8, with a week of activities and a wide range of classes free to both members and non-members alike.
Individuals and families are invited to try out classes such as sports, gymnastics, dance, music and art classes for kids, and for adults, kinesis, spin and music classes for adults.
Preschool art, Hip Hop, gymnastics evaluation and video production are some of the other scheduled classes or programs in the lineup, which is online. Information about the weeklong program is on the Somerset Hills YMCA website.
According to the YMCA, potential members are offered a $25 credit towards their new membership fee or program registration if they join the YMCA by Sept. 8.
“This is a terrific opportunity to ‘dip your toe to test the water’ for members and non members”, said Kate Russo, Senior Director of Membership Services. “Current members can try out so many classes for free that they may have been considering and non-members can check out our classes for the first time. We welcome everyone to come and see all that the Somerset Hills YMCA has to offer.”

The YMCA offered a similar week of free events last spring.
