Want to know how to turn 'terrible twos' into 'terrific twos', 'theatrical threes' into 'the best threes' and 'floundering fours' into 'fabulous fours'?  Then come to the Peapack-Gladstone Library at 7 p.m. on October 4 for a special free presentation by Matheny Medical and Educational Center social worker Sandra Van Nest.  In "Parenting Your Preschooler", Van Nest will be speaking to parents in the community about the joys and challenges of living with a preschool child.

A licensed clinical social worker, Van Nest is a field supervisor in Matheny's Community Services program. She works out in the community providing developmental and behavioral therapy to children, 0-3 years with developmental delays. Van Nest has a wide variety of experience with children from infancy through their teenage years. She believes that families are always the "expert on their own children," and she strives to empower families to know a variety of parenting and discipline techniques.
