I have been a resident of Long Hill for 20 years: The volleyball barn is a wonderful project and a Read Morebeautiful design in keeping with the semi-rural nature of the township. The project would be a benefit to the community. I welcome it and hope the community leaders will approve it.

Susan, no it wasn't. The dome was approved for (4)indoor tennis courts. I researched and monitored Read Moreprior to purchasing the property. It was insulated and I never heard anything. Then w/o any approval it turned in something else entirely. The noise is so bad I even hear it clearly inside my house. This is what happens if this type of thing is allowed in residential areas.

I realize that fill is needed in order to make the quarry land usable. That is fair. 7am to 5 pm?Read MoreCa n we force these trucks into a smaller daily window, say 10 to 4 pm? or 8:30-2:30 pm -- after school commuting is done in the morning and before post-school commuting begins? I think that more negotiations can be done to make the task more tolerable to the residents. Does anyone remember how much dirt was on the roads from the dump trucks? I do -- can we require tighter covers on top of their loads? Can we organize a qualified brigade of volunteers to do more sampling?? Train a group of volunteers to be available to do more sampling than is in the proposal??

Not convinced more fill is needed, other options should be considered. Most disturbing that theRead MoreTown Committee tried to sneak a vote on this resolution without public comments AFTER they voted to ban the trucking and promised they wouldn't let it happen again!

I agree with BR Mom. Limit the hours, cover the loads and wash the roads if necessary. NevermindRead Moret he "wear-n-tear" on already compromised road surfaces!!
