Summer is a perfect time to try the Somerset Hills YMCA. For the months of July and August, Fridays are free to new and potential members.

 

The YMCA offers a state-of-the-art wellness center and more than 200 programs annually, including swimming, wellness, fitness, nutrition, programs for those with special needs, water exercise, day care, school aged child care, active older adults programs, youth and adult sports, gymnastics, dance, adventure-based activities for teens, specialized family activities and a variety of community service programs including Career Forum, Special Olympics and Saturdays in Motion – more programs and services than any other community service organization in the area.

Established in 1951, the Somerset Hills YMCA serves more than 19,000 county residents and offers more than 200 programs for children, adults and families. Programs include day care, school aged child care, summer camps, corporate programs, special family activities and a variety of community service programs including Career Forum and the Special Olympics. Membership is required. The YMCA can work with families through its "Strong Kids" financial assistance program to make membership affordable.
