Growing Up In Poland
Please join us for a program on Poland presented by Elaine Lent who is a member of the Northern Monmouth County Branch of AAUW and past Program Vice President. She is also the current president of the Red Bank Chapter of “People To People International”, a not-for-profit humanitarian organization founded by Dwight David Eisenhower in 1956. Elaine’s talk on Poland is taken from the lecture series of “People To People” which provides information about many countries of the world and global issues.
Join us for this fun learning adventure, especially to discover why historically Poland is considered the “Phoenix of Europe”. Come early to view a display of photos and arts and craft items collected from interesting places that were visited in Poland by Elaine Lent and Dorothy Reynolds. In addition to some interesting discussion, some home-made Polish Crusciki pastry and Kolaczki cookies will await your tasting experience! Dzienkuje (Thank You)
The program will be held at the Bernards Township Library on Tuesday, February 12, from 6:30 to 8:30.
