Bernards Chamber Hosts 'Affordable HealthCare Forum' Tuesday Morning

Seminar on complex subject to be held early Tuesday at the Bernards Township Library in Basking Ridge center.

A seminar on "The Affordable Care Act — How Do Businesses Respond?" is being hosted by the Bernards Township Regional Chamber of Commerce, in cooperation with the Bernards Township Library, at the Bernards Township Library Conference Room B, from 8 to 9 a.m. on Tuesday.

Topics and questions to be addressed include:

Employers: Are you prepared to provide notification to your employees about the existence of the Health Exchange? Do you know if you qualify for tax credits?

Individuals: Do you know if you qualify for subsidy dollars that could significantly drive your current costs down? How will you know which health insurance program is right for you?

Those questions and others will be answered by presenter, Jean Angelo, who has been a professional in the health insurance and employee benefits field for more than 20 years. Angelo split half of that time at New Jersey's leading health insurance carrier and the other half serving as an independent general agent, said a release from the Bernards chamber. The seminar is aimed at local businesses.
