Two book collections for children and teens or young adults throughout New Jersey are underway at Ridge High School and the Bernards Township Library, but are wrapping up in the next week or so.

Donations of new or gently used books are being sought for the Ridge High School Media Center’s annual Books for Kids book drive.

The books collected then will be distributed as holiday gifts to less fortunate children and young adults throughout New Jersey, according to information on the Ridge High School website. Donations will be accepted in the school's Media Center now until this Friday.

The Bernards Township Library at 32 S. Maple Ave. is continuing the library's annual collection of new books for infants through teen readers until Dec. 14.

Collection boxes are in the childrens' library on the lower level and near the reference desk upstairs in the adult section.

The donated books collected will be distributed to children and teens throughout New Jersey "who have limited access to books," according to the library website.
