Horticulture staff of the Somerset County Park Commission can help.
A combination lecture and hands-on workshop has been scheduled for Saturday, March 8, 2014 from 9:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. in the Rudolf W. van der Goot Rose Garden in Colonial Park, Parking Lot A, Somerset (Franklin Township), New Jersey. Rain date is Saturday, March 15, 2014 at the same time.
The program has been designed to provide all of the basic information necessary to ensure a season of healthy roses. Bring leather gloves and pruning equipment to learn first-hand what needs to be done and remember to dress appropriately
Fee is $12 per person and class is limited to 30 people. Participants may register at the Horticulture Office at Colonial Park, Lot F or by calling 732 873-2459 ext. 21 Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 3:30pm. Individuals with a hearing or speech impairment may use the NJ Relay Service at 711.
