Tackle Juvenile Diabetes speak at Camp Nejeda

Ezra Keough former Football player for Ridge High School and James Catapano Lacrosse Player from William Annin Middle School spoke to Parents and children at Camp Nejeda in Stillwater, NJ about Type 1 Diabetes.

On August 20th 2013 Ezra Keough and James Catapano, spoke to more than 70 people about managing Type 1 diabetes that they both live with.

Both Ezra and James are extraordinary athletes that maintain good glucose levels while staying active and eating right.  They are sought after speakers for parents and children with this disease  because of their sports status.

Ezra Keough now attends Lafayette College after a wonderful season of Football at Ridge and played in the first Annual Basilone Bowl Football Game. He continues to work out everyday and play club sports at College.
He founded Tackle Juvenile Diabetes  as a Sophomore in High School as a resource for children with Type 1.

James Catapano is an outstanding athlete.  He is a sought after Lacrosse player with the elite Delbarton Team.  He attends Camp Nejeda, a sleep away camp for children who have Type 1 diabetes.  His speech at the Family Day at Camp Nejeda, was very well received and brought smiles to the faces of parents and children alike.  He encouraged children to play team sports and stay active.

Both James and Ezra encouraged parents to not fear for their children.  That playing sports is good for mental and physical health and that having Type 1 should never stand in the way of their child's dreams.

Their motto: "Stay Fit and Tackle It!"
