A Puppy Named Upton O'Good

Featured adoptable dogs in this week's column come with fanciful monikers.

With a name like Upton O'Good, this bulldog pup only needs a bowler hat to complete the picture...but he's described as a playful and gentle pup.

This week's roundup focuses on dogs with names that are fanciful...but seem somehow incongruous with the dogs they're attached to—what do you think?

Could you imagine these pooches would come running if you called out their names?

Regardless of what the name is, though, they will all make fine pets, perhaps your best friend—if you are considering a new pet, adopting a homeless dog or cat is the best way to go.

Contact the rescue groups below for information about any of the featured dogs—or inquire about other pets they may have available for adoption.
