Adoption is for Horses, Too

The Friends of Lord Stirling Stable are seeking homes for horses.

Though there are many dogs and cats in need of homes, thousands of other animals are also in need of care—from snakes to birds, if someone has one as a pet, odds are others tried it too and found the animals weren't right for them.

Incredibly, that includes horses, one of the smartest of all domesticated animals. Adopting a horse will require more consideration than some other animals—you'll need to either have a stable or be able to afford a place for your horse.

But the joys of providing loving care to a horse are no less than a smaller pet—and can be even more rewarding. Lord Stirling Stable often seeks homes for horses kept at the stable and used for teaching programs.
