Lots of places to go to please your ear this weekend.

If you like live music, especially something that is different from the everyday stuff you hear on the radio, we've got a number of options for you in our weekend planner.

But don't worry, we have some other fun things for you to spend your free time on, too. Here are this week's picks:

1. FRIENDS CONCERT: TIM KEYES CONSORT
Where/When: Meeting Room; Friday, 7:30-9 p.m.
Why Go: A full orchestra will be presenting traditional African and African-American music  in celebration of Black History Month.

2. LYCOMING COLLEGE CHOIR
Where/When: (Basking Ridge); Friday, 7-9 p.m.
Why Go: The three choirs of the school have been singing across the United States and even in other countries. You can come see what's made them popular.
Pricing: Free

3. TROY BRIGHT GOSPEL
Where/When: Watchung Arts Center; Saturday, 8 p.m.
Why Go: Bright is accompanied by his six-member choir and four-piece band, offering a performance of inspirational gospel songs.
Pricing: $16 for members, $8 for students, $18 general admission

4. WINTER FESTIVAL
Where/When:  Program Room; Saturday, 11 a.m.-3 p.m.
Why Go: It's free, you don't need to register, and anticipation has been building since it was pushed back due to weather. Expect lots of games and snacks.
Pricing: Free

5. THE VELVETEEN RABBIT
Where/When:  (Hillsborough); Friday, 8 p.m.; Saturday and Sunday, 2 p.m.
Why Go: A great show for the entire family about the timeless tale of a devoted young boy and his treasured toy rabbit.
Pricing: $12
