Submitted by the Bernards Township Health Department

The Bernards Township Health Department has scheduled two dates, Tuesday, July 15th and Tuesday, August 12th, for its annual Skin Cancer Screening. This is offered to local residents who are not currently under the care of a dermatologist.

According to the Health Officer, Lucy Forgione, “Research shows about 800,000 Americans are newly diagnosed with skin cancer every year, making it the most common form of the disease.  Fortunately, it is one of the easiest of all cancers to detect and it is the cancer that is treated most successfully”.
