Casino Night's High Rollers Benefit Cedar Hill School Library
The Basking Ridge Country Club hosted a Casino Night fundraiser to raise money to renovate the Cedar Hill Elementary School library.
"Casino Night," the Cedar Hill Elementary School's PTO fundraiser held Saturday night at , was a fun event to help raise money for an educational project.
The proceeds from the benefit will go towards the school Parent-Teacher Organization's The money will be earmarked for a proposed $100,000 comprehensive update of the 2,100-square-foot library that parents already have envisioned by working out details with school officials and a designer.
A previous "Casino Night" contributed funds that were put aside for the library, said Christina Ehret, co-president of the Cedar Hill PTO. Any gap left after the proceeds are tallied from this latest "Casino Night" —for which the PTO acquired a real gambling license — is expected to be raised through a capital fund, she said.

Ehret said 326 people attended last Saturday's event. "It was a blast. The iPad2 raffle and 50-50 raffle were unbelievably popular. We had serious bidding wars over LIVE! with Regis and Kelly tickets, a chance for your child to be principal for the day, and dinner for two at Ninety Acres" restaurant, Ehret said.
"The casino was packed, not an empty seat at a table!" she said.
