Somerset County Adding To Senior Wellness Center In Bridgewater

Somerset County Officials are making plans for a new senior wellness center in Bridgewater that would allow older residents to participating in recreational activities, but also have their medical needs attended to on the same campus, according to nj.com

The new facility, which will go on vacant land along Main Street near the Somerset Patriots ballpark, is meant to accommodate the needs of the county's growing senior community, according to nj.com

I cringe when I see a comment like Macaulay's "no downside..." about this project but he may be absolutely correct. What I see for sure are my county taxes going up 2.5% for 2014 as proposed in the budget. Maybe this even saves operating costs by consolidating services....I have no idea. But we should all be suspicious about a growing government that thinks it serves seniors when it is simultaneously burdening them with ever higher taxes.
