What Are You Doing on Your Week Off From School?

It's finally here — spring vacation for Bernards Township Schools.

This week is one that many people have long been waiting for — spring break from school for Bernards Township students and their families.

A time to try something different. A week where you don't have to get up at the crack of dawn with your middle schooler or high school student. A time where you can possibly rediscover your child. Or perhaps they can discover something new on their own.

What are you going to do on your week off from school, beginning with a Monday with glorious weather?

Monday starts with an answer from parent Ally Mahoney, whose children attend the Mount Prospect Elementary School.

On Tuesday, Ridge High School student Tommy Morrell talks about how he is going take time off from the "pressure" of school.

Kimberly Ace, an art teacher at the Cedar Hill Elementary School, talks on Wednesday about what her own plans were for the spring vacation.

On Thursday, Oak Street School Ainsley LiCata and her dad, Al, talk about the fun local things they will do during Ainsley's week off from school.

On Friday, Katie Farlow was busy in the Board of Education office despite the school vacation. Farlow, who works in the accounts payable department, said that she worked part of the school vacation week — but managed to get one day trip in before the week ended.
