Basking Ridge & Bville Artists to Exhibit at 4-Day Somerville Show

Two Bernardsville and five Bernards Township visual artists will be part of an indoor/outdoor arts show in Somerville.

Eighteen visual artists from the Somerville area, including five from Basking Ridge and two from Bernardsville, will be on exhibit during downtown Somerville's planned Arts on Division show on May 17-20.

Arts on Division is being prepared as Somerville's third annual indoor and outdoor festival on Division Street over a four-day period. The event is scheduled to include fine art exhibits, theatre, music, poetry, dance ensembles, film and art related demonstrations — and during the past two years already has seen over 5000 visitors.

The exhibit is being curated by Kristina Lloyd, who also is visual arts coordinator and a trustee at the center in Bernards Township.

Division Street has been designated for “Arts & Culture,” and already is being reconstructed so that it may serve as a pedestrian-friendly thoroughfare. Sidewalk artists will be able to use the street as their canvas and everyone will have the opportunity to meet the artists and learn about their processes, work and inspiration, according to information on the exhibit.
