Auditions Sunday for Trilogy's 'Dorothy and Oz'

Eight actors needed for 'Dorothy and the Wizard of Oz'

Open casting for all parts in the Basking Ridge-based Trilogy Repertory Co.'s production of "Dorothy and the Wizard of Oz" will take place at 7 p.m. on Sunday at the Bernards Township Community Center, 289 South Maple Ave., Basking Ridge.

"Dorothy and the Wizard of Oz," written by Steve and Kathy Hotchner, is a participation play, written to involve the audience directly in the events occurring on stage.  Performances will be given at local libraries on January 11, 18 and 25, according to information from Trilogy Repertory Co.

After the play is cast, rehearsals will begin immediately. Eleanor Klinger of Basking Ridge is producing, and Jaye Barre of Basking Ridge is directing this production for Trilogy.

Eight actors, ages 16 and up, are needed to perform different roles in this production, according to information from Trilogy Repertory Co. No experience is necessary and auditions will consist of improvisations and cold readings from the script.
