Editor's Notebook: Last Chance to Catch 'The Music Man'

The last three showings of the first summer play in the park are Thursday through Saturday, July 22 - 24.

After a first week run from July 15 - 17, Trilogy Repertory's "The Music Man" is back for a final three-night stretch in Basking Ridge, starting Thursday night, July 22 at 8 p.m.

"The Music Man" is a local production with cast members from north and central New Jersey, including ten local families, making the production a true community event. Basking Ridge Patch theater critic Jen Olsen raved about the performance in her review, calling it, "delightful, fabulous, energetic, funny, universally excellent and beautifully done."

Part of a tradition in its 23rd year, the show is free (donations accepted) and held outdoors in Pleasant Valley Park as a part of Bernards "Plays in the Park" summer series of concerts. Audience members can bring lawn chairs, blankets, picnic goods and snacks and enjoy the performance on the spacious lawn stretching out from the park's amphitheater.
