'Dance Your Socks Off' or attend community Palm Sunday service.

This week's events reflect on the nature of spring — both in the religious ceremonies and traditions many celebrate as well as some chances to get out for a short hike or learn a little about vegetable gardening.

When/Where: At 10:30 a.m. on Sunday at Liberty Corner Presbyterian Church, in the Liberty Corner section of Bernards Township.
Why Go: A fun, upbeat and heart pumping way to raise awareness of the veterans at the Lyons campus of the Veterans Administration Hospital.
Cost: Free, or donate needed socks for the veterans.

Palm Sunday in The Hills
When/Where:
Sunday, April 1, at 4 p.m. at The Hills Highlands Clubhouse, 75 Hansom Road, in The Hills section of Basking Ridge.
Why Go: The Hills' resident Laurie Lupo has invited Fr. Rick Morley and the congregation of to lead this service, similar to a Christmas Eve ceremony held at Harry Dunham Park, with music and a telling of the Palm Sunday story.

The Jungle Book
When/Where:
Next Wed., 7 p.m. at Ridge High School's Performing Arts Center in Basking Ridge.
Why Go:
To see Liberty Corner Elementary School's performance of "The Jungle Book," and cheer on the kids.

Come Play at the Y
When/Where: During regular hours from Sunday, April 1 through Saturday, April 7, week of free activities at the on Mount Airy Road or at Riverwalk in Basking Ridge.

Equine and Wildlife Art at Somerset Hills YMCA
When/Where: On display through Saturday at the Somerset Hills YMCA in Basking Ridge, when a reception with a "touch drawing" demonstration will be held from 2:30 to 5 p.m.
Why Go: If you love nature and art, and especially if you love horses, and to learn about artist Linda Howe's unusual "touch drawing" technique.

Ridge AP Art Studio Show — Roots, Rocks & Relics
When/Where:
A reception from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday will kick off an art show exploring the exploring the relationships of structure, pattern and form of rocks, roots and fossils at the in Basking Ridge. The show will continue at the EEC through April 1.
Why Go: To enjoy the artwork by Advanced Placement students and also see artwork unlike any other. Food and entertainment provided by students.

Sixty Years of Photos from the Somerset Hills YMCA
When/Where:
Through April, to begin with reception from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, at the Bernardsville Public Library, 1 Anderson Hill Road in Bernardsville.
Why Go: To view photos from 1951 to 2011 from through the years at the which began in a small building in Bernardsville, and now occupies two facilities in Basking Ridge.

Baby Time
When/Where:
From 9:30 to 10 a.m. on Thursday, for songs, rhymes and stories for ages birth to 15 months, with siblings welcome, at the Bernards Township Library.
Why Go: Because you can drop by when baby is in the mood, no registration required.
Cost: Free, other library programs online.

Community Passover Seder at Chabad in Basking Ridge
When/Where: Plan ahead to attend on Saturday, April 7, at 8 p.m. at at 3048 Valley Road.
Why Go: Jews of all affiliations are invited to participate in an evening replete with traditional handmade Matzoh, Four Cups of wine, lively dialogue, and an exquisite Kosher Passover dinner.

Photos with the Easter Bunny
When/Where: Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the .

Walk on the Wild Side at Duke Farms
When/Where: Friday at 6 a.m., and Saturday and Sunday at 10 a.m. at Duke Farms on Route 206 in Hillsborough.
Why Go: To explore nature through a 1.25-mile trail and look at some of the landscape created by J.B. Duke.
Cost: Free.

Free Concert Featuring Esther Park

Why Go: To listen to pianist Esther Park perform works by Mozart, Brahms and Chopin.
