Trilogy Announces Summer Play Audition Dates

Trilogy Repertory Company of Basking Ridge will hold auditions for Bernards Township's "Plays in the Park," presented each summer at the outdoor amphitheater in Pleasant Valley Park.

This summer, the company will perform Meredith Wilson's "The Music Man" and Shakespeare's "Macbeth."

Auditions for adult roles for "The Music Man" are scheduled for Tuesday, April 27, Wednesday, April 28, and Sunday, May 2, at 7:30 p.m., with auditions for children (ages 10-16) to be held on Sunday, May 2, at 2:00 p.m.  Jaye Barre will direct the musical, with musical direction by Marion Doerr.  Production dates are July 15, 16, 17, 22, 23, and 24. Those auditioning should prepare 16 measures of a song from a Broadway show and be prepared to read from the script. A rudimentary dance audition will also be included in the audition process.  Those interested in performing or helping backstage can contact Barre at 908-217-2714 with any questions.

Auditions for "Macbeth" are scheduled for Wednesday, April 28, and Sunday, May 2 at 7:30 p.m..  Hank Barre will direct the play, with production dates scheduled for July 30 and 31, and August 5, 6, and 7. Male and female roles, ranging from 16 to 70 in age, and roles for all sizes and experience levels are available. Interested performers should plan to read from the script.
