Precaution due to potential thunderstorms on Wednesday and Thursday of this week.

The Party in the Park at Pleasant Valley amphitheater scheduled for Wednesday night at 6 p.m. has been postponed to next Wednesday, Aug. 14, due to the weather forecast.

"Unfortunately we cannot take the chance of a passing thunderstorm causing any damage to the sound and lighting equipment," said a release from the Bernards Township Department of Parks and Recreation.

The parks department issued an invitation for all to join the party on Aug. 14 at Pleasant Valley Park off Valley Road in Bernards Township. An outdoors DJ and a free movie, "The Avengers," are scheduled as highlights.
