Parents should click on a prompt to register for or update the Friday Folders they will receive from the school district to make sure they are registered for the correct schools.
All school correspondence will be sent electronically starting this school year, the website says.
The Friday Folders do not automatically update to a new school if a student graduates on to the middle school or high school.
The Friday Folders not only address school-specific topics, general district information is included, as well as occasional special emails with important announcements from the schools superintendent.
According to the school website's information on Friday Folders, it is more important this year that parents are registered to receive information through Friday Folders, and for the correct schools.
"We have been sending school-specific information through the individual school Friday Folders, while notices of a more general nature, such as YMCA brochures and Township Recreations flyers, have been sent through the district folder," the district says in a message regarding Friday Folders.
"Please spread the word that all school correspondence is only being sent electronically this year, and that anyone who has not registered their e-mail address will miss receiving important news," according to the school district.
Special Friday Folders in recent months have included such notifications as the news that the school day at the district's four elementary schools is being lengthened by a half-hour, with 15 minutes each to be added to what previously was the start and end of the school day for children in kindergarten through grade five.
