UPDATE: Most (if Not All) Sunday Open Houses Canceled

With people's attention turned to Hurricane Irene, few open houses were scheduled for Sunday. Only two of the handful actually listed on the Garden State Multiple Listing service website as of late Sunday morning had not yet been changed to canceled.

However, local roads are flooded, and at least one real estate agent said she had canceled an open house that apparently had a delay in the listing as being called off for this week.

So think twice, or maybe three times, before venturing out. Township police are asking residents to stay off roads unless absolutely necessary. Information on open houses and real estate on the Garden State Multiple Listing Service website, but you may want to check anyway whether listed events will happen.
