Millington Savings Bank Awards Scholarships to Ridge, Bernards, Other Local Grads

Eight area graduating seniors receive scholarships and honors from Millington Savings Bank

Millington Savings Bank has awarded scholarships to each of eight recently graduated area high school seniors, including two from Ridge High School and two from Bernards High School, during an awards luncheon held at the Red Oak Grille in Basking Ridge.

Michael A. Shriner, Millington Savings Bank’s President and CEO, presented $500 scholarships to eight graduates. Pictured above with Shriner, center, are, from left, Jordan Smith of Bernards High School; Bobby Tamburri of Ridge High School; Allison Lukacsko of Bernards High School; Mark DiDonna of Watchung Hills Regional High School; Peter Padula of Bridgewater-Raritan High School; Emma Triantis of Bridgewater-Raritan High School; Matthew Lane of Ridge High School; and Dana DiSarno of Watchung Hills Regional High School.   

Millington Savings Bank's announcement said students from four area high schools were selected on a variety of criteria, including academic achievement, exemplary participation in extracurricular activities and work experience.

The scholarships were presented and the students honored during a special luncheon in June.

“These students represent the future….a future filled with tremendous promise and achievement,” Shriner said. “Millington Savings Bank is very proud to recognize these very accomplished young adults who no doubt will have great success in their upcoming endeavors. We wish the very best of luck to these outstanding students," he added.
