Republican and Democratic Candidates Now Will Face Independent in Bernards Twp. Committee Race

As a result of a petition filed on the day of the primary election, last Tuesday, Republican Carol Bianchi and Democrat David Ferdinand now will share the November ballot with Bill Connors, a resident who said he is "fed up" with the handling of potential solutions for improving Ridge High School traffic flow. One seat is up for election on the committee this fall.

Ridge Lacrosse Player Eric Scott Named NJ Player of the Year

Ridge High School's Eric Scott has been named the 2013 Player of the Year in the New Jersey Interscholastic Lacrosse Coaches Association Individual Awards. This is the first ever time a Ridge lacrosse player has received the award, said Red Devils Head Lacrosse Coach Ken Marsh. The team then went on to win the state Tournament of Champion semifinal game later in the week.

A group of parents who want an advanced curriculum, particularly in math, and educational enrichment for kindergarten through grade 5 expects to meet next Monday evening, and then address the Bernards Board of Education.
