World's Best Cyclists Compete in Downtown Basking Ridge

The National Criterium Calendar (NCC) BaseCamp International race, held on Thursday night in downtown Basking Ridge, attracted 99 accomplished cyclists and local residents who wanted to enjoy the bike racing and an evening out. The race, presented by Verizon Wireless, was held for the seventh year. Liberty Cycle of Basking Ridge launched the race and is promoter of the event.

Although it may seem obvious, public officials said some township residents have planted or installed drains or other structures on public property. The new law also would govern easements on private property.

Positive Rabies Results For Raccoon Killed in Bernardsville

The remains of a 'sickly' raccoon in a storm drain shot by a Bernardsville Police officer on May 17 have tested positive for rabies, according to the Bernards Township Health Department and Bernardsville's animal control service.
