Updated: Another Inch or So of Snow Possible Through Thursday Morning

Winter weather advisory issued, wintry mix expected. Senior Wellness Center closed Wednesday, but schools open at regular hours.

Old Man Winter appears to be sticking around a little longer, and overstaying his welcome.

The National Weather Service has predicted rain changing to snow overnight with another inch or so of the heavy spring slush expected by Thursday morning.

Township police reported one accident on Wednesday morning's slick roads, the second morning this week where at least some snow blanketed the township. However, township schools had opened at the usual time.

The Senior Wellness Center in Bernards and the Somerset County senior centers in Hillsborough, Manville, Montgomery, Quail Brook, Raritan and Warrenbrook were closed Wednesday.

A mix of snow, sleet and rain was continue throughout the day Wednesday. The storm will cause slick traveling conditions, the NWS said.
