Children and parents gathered at Bernards Township Library on Saturday to participate in the Paws for Reading program. The kids chose their favorite books to read to dogs trained as a part of the St. Huberts Paws for People therapy program.
The program certifies the owners of well-trained pets to take them to nursing homes, hospitals, libraries and other venues to connect with people in the community.
